THE ARTISTS

06:15

Who can forget the absolutely fantastic artists that were involved with Boscombe Bound; Urban Art Sessions? All of these talented people are based either at Arts University Bournemouth or in the local area.

Here you can find out more about the pieces shown at Boscombe Bound and the influences and artists behind them.

First up: details on the lovely Stacy Cook and the work she created for the Urban Art Session.

Artist: Stacy Cook

Stacy is a versatile artist who does not like to have a particular style, she uses her skills to create pieces of art, using recycled materials. She is a painter that expresses her work on canvases, reclaimed wood and cardboard using acrylic and water colours.  Stacy is also an illustrator and experimental sculptor with a variety of creative ideas that range from décor pieces, revamp furniture and stage settings.

Stacy was one of our photographers for Boscombe Bound: Urban Art Sessions, and also created a décor piece for the live acoustic music to be played under.

Piece: Gaia Kalliste

This piece is named after two Greek goddesses, meaning mother and nurture of all life, most beautiful.

Stacy used recycled materials not to damage Mother Nature, but to show how you can re-use resources both natural and man-made. To show us how we can maintain harmony between us and nature, by recreating Mother Nature’s full beauty.
